Description
The QBCS0601 is a four channel Battery Cell Simulator designed to emulate a battery cell for testing and validation in critical applications, like Battery Management Systems (BMS). Each channel operates as an independent dual-quadrant source/sink, providing precise control of voltage, current, and power, much like a real battery.
The QBCS0601 features an arbitrary waveform generator that provides a voltage signal output from a buffer of max 5000 samples operating in either single or continuous play mode, with a sampling frequency range of 0.2 to 2 kHz. It includes flexible triggering options, from command line interface or external optical signal.
The QBCS0601 functions as a dual-quadrant Battery Cell Simulator, capable of acting as both a power source and a power load. It can output positive voltage while sourcing or sinking current, effectively simulating the behavior of a real battery. This capability allows for comprehensive testing of both battery charge and discharge processes, independently from the battery technology used in the system under test.
As a result, it ensures that the operations and performances of the device are unaffected by the Battery Cell Simulator.
The QBCS0601 can be controlled by an external host via a 10/100BASE-T Ethernet interface, with power supply delivered via Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE+).
